Memorial plaque on the birthplace of Johann Strauß senior

The successor house of Johann Strauß senior’s birthplace was built in 1906. Johann Strauß jun.’s grandfather had been inn-keeper at the demolished house called "St.Florian" whose pub was patronised by raftsmen and sailors/boatmen. On March 14th, 1804 Johann Strauß senior was born there and also spent his childhood there.
