ATTENTION: For this AEIOU article, there is probably
Ansfelden - livingroom of Bruckner's family From Bruckner's youth - the only period of life he spent in this room - no pieces of furniture have been preserved. The objects displayed there now are from the Upper Austrian Regional Museum. A teacher's apartment was very small at that time and for us it is hard to imagine how seven people (Bruckner's mother gave birth to 12 children, but only 5 survived) managed to live in such cramped conditions.
The present arrangement of the room is very likely to correspond to early 19th century reality.
