Bruckner memorial in the Stadtpark, Vienna, 1st district, Parkring
The Stadtpark was opened in 1862. There are several monuments in honour of Austrian composers, like Schubert and Johann Strauß jun. The bust of Anton Bruckner was made by Viktor Tilgner and exhibited on October 25th, 1899. Recently the original bust was transferred to Palais Bourgoing, Metternichgasse 8, 3rd district. In the Stadtpark there is now a simple copy by the sculptor Kameyeczky.
