... in Austria from prehistoric times up to the present is demonstrated here with words, pictures and sounds. The selection was organized by the Institute for Music History of the University of Graz on the basis of A
History of Music in Austria, (Musikgeschichte Österreichs) edited by Rudolf Flotzinger and Gernot Gruber (Vienna-Cologne-Weimar 1995).
The examples should introduce the various areas of emphasis step by step. Their order depends on the historical periods and will be maintained for other lists.
The basic requirements are a Personal Computer (DOS or Macintosh) with the appropriate Internet software, sound card and good loudspeakers.
