Selberherr, Siegfried

Selberherr, Siegfried, b. Klosterneuburg, Lower Austria, Aug. 3, 1955, electrical engineer. Studied electrical engineering (industrial electronics and control engineering) at Vienna University of Technology from 1973 to 1978; continued at that institution after graduation, was appointed Professor of General Electrical Engineering and head of the Department of Microelectronics in 1988.
