Seewalchen am Attersee


Seewalchen am Attersee, Upper Austria, market town in the district of Vöcklabruck, alt. 498 m, pop. 4,253, area 23.79 km2, summer tourist resort with public bathing facility (47,089 overnight stays in 1992) at the northern end of Lake Attersee. - Regional Building Site Supervision for Torrent and Avalanche Control, hall for cultural events, Youth Red Cross home, public lake bathing facility; textile industry, furniture manufacturers. - Late-Gothic church (1439-1496) with late-Gothic floral frescoes (1481, uncovered in 1954) and late-Gothic sculptures; Litzlberg Palace by the lake.
