Plansee-Gruppe

Plansee Group, important international company in the field of powder metallurgy, founded in 1921 in Reutte (Tyrol). The range of products comprises refractory metals and special metals, composites, carbides and carbide tipped tools as well as sintered steel, sintered iron and sintered bronze. The company has production firms in Austria (3), Germany (3), Switzerland, Spain, the US, Mexico and Japan. In 1998 the turnover of the group was ATS 4.5 billion; 3,880 employees.
