Roudnice nad Labem, Czech Republic (then Raudnitz), Dec. 7, 1722, d. Třeboń, Czech Republic (then Wittingau, Dec. 16, 1816. Patron of music, in particular of L. van Beethoven, who conducted his 3rd symphony in a private première for the Prince (Eroica Hall in the palace of the Lobkowitz family) in 1804. L was a founding member of the Vienna Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in 1812 and in 1805 had "The Creation" by J. Haydn performed in the Czech language at Raudnitz. Literature: ÖBL; NDB.
