Elektrotechnischer Verein Österreichs
Elektrotechnischer Verein Österreichs (Austrian Electrotechnical Society), Vienna, founded in 1883, the year that the first Electricity Exhibition took place in Vienna and the Electrotechnical Institute of the University of Technology in Vienna was founded. Today the Society maintains a library, publishes Austria´s regulations and standards in the field of electrical engineering, and is a member of the Austrian National Committee of the ICE (International Electrotechnical Commission) and the CEE (International Commission on Rules for the Approval of Electrical Equipment).
