Dessoff, Felix Otto

Dessoff, Felix Otto, b. Leipzig (Germany), Jan. 14, 1835, d. Frankfurt am Main (Germany), Oct. 28, 1892. Conductor of Vienna's Hofoper (1860-1875) and of the Vienna Philharmonic, helped build the latter's international renown. Teacher at the Conservatory of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde.
