Attergau

Attergau, Upper Austria, area around the northern part of Lake Attersee, gently rolling moraine land (alt. 500 to 600 m) of the former Traun glacier in the Alpine Foreland, bordering to the north on the Hausruck mountains, to the south on the Flysch mountains of the Salzkammergut region, drained by the Rivers Vöckla, Ager und Dürrer Ager. Densely populated agricultural and industrial area. Towns: St. Georgen, Frankenmarkt, Vöcklamarkt, Zipf, Vöcklabruck, Attnang-Puchheim, Lenzing.
