Andre, Hans, b. Innsbruck (Tyrol), Jan. 21, 1902, d. Innsbruck (Tyrol), May 15, 1991, sculptor and painter; worked with C. Holzmeister, 1954-1967 professor at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts; developed a style of unaffected realism.


Works: Sculptures and frescoes: bronze fountain "Goldenes Dachl" in Innsbruck, war memorial in the Wr. Zentralfriedhof cemetery, statues of Archbishops in St. Stephen´s Cathedral, Vienna (1957), Archduke Eugène monument in Innsbruck (1957), Hannes Schneider monument in St. Anton am Arlberg (1957).
